The head is rated IP65 when installed as intended, by passing it through a knockout in a junction box or fitting and securing it with the supplied locknut.
The body is rated IP40, as noted above, and is not suitable for standalone outdoor installation. When outdoor protection is required, the PCKIT should be used to provide the necessary enclosure and environmental protection.
