Protecta® FR Putty Pads are an easy-to-apply, fire- and sound-rated non-setting sealant that is hand workable, reusable, and re-serviceable; when electrical sockets and switches are installed in dry lining partitions, the original fire rating is compromised—fitting Protecta FR Putty Pads reinstates fire resistance for up to two hours (depending on the partition rating) and helps prevent the passage of smoke, flames, sound, and air through the socket into the cavity; the pads are shaped for both single and double socket installations and are supplied in a cross shape for internal installation and a rectangular shape for rear application.
